NI+CでSoftLayerエンジニアをしている常田です。
SoftLayerを利用するに際して便利に利用することが出来るものとしてslコマンドがあります。
開発はgithub上で行われておりpipに登録されているバージョンと少し変わってきていますので今回はgitub版をダウンロードして利用可能にするところまでをご紹介します。
今回はDocker上のUbuntu15.04で実行してみました。

基本的にはPythonが導入されていれば動作します。
ここでは以下のコマンドを実行することで利用可能になります。
apt-get update
apt-get install -y git python python-setuptools
git clone https://github.com/softlayer/softlayer-python.git
cd softlayer-python
python setup.py install
で導入が出来ます。
そして今回からコマンド名がslからslcliに変更になっています。

以前に比べていくつか機能が拡張されています。call-apiなども便利な機能です。

このようにコマンドラインからmaskの指定などをしながら簡単にAPIを実行することが出来るようになっています。
# slcli --version
SoftLayer Command-line Client, version v4.0.0
いつ頃にpipにマージされるのかは不明ですがVersionは4.0になる予定のようです。
